TransNAT launch presentation at the Royal Society
Matthew Wood speaking at the launch event

The TransNAT launch meeting took place on 1 December 2022 at the Royal Society in London. This was a valuable opportunity to meet in person with 30 consortium members from all of 12 of the participating organisations.

The meeting was opened by Matthew Wood, who leads the consortium. All academic partners presented talks on their current interests, resources and expertise relevant to the aims of the TransNAT consortium. These demonstrated the wide range of expertise and extensive capabilities of the consortium. Silence Therapeutics, a company pioneering the design and development of siRNAs (short interfering RNAs), was presented by SVP, Marie Wikstrom Lindholm. A keynote lecture by Frank Bennett, CSO of Ionis Pharmaceuticals, closed the meeting.
